Ralph Clement Darling III, MD, FACS, attended the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio, and was awarded his medical degree in 1984. His served his internship and conducted his general residency at Harvard Medical School/Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident in his final year (1984-1989). In addition, Dr. Darling is fellowship trained in vascular surgery at Albany Medical Center/Albany Medical College in Albany, New York (1990 – 1991). He further received board certification in general surgery (1991) and vascular surgery and surgical critical care (1995) from the American Board of Surgery and remains at the forefront of his challenging specialty via memberships and affiliations with prestigious professional societies and associations, such as the Society of Interventional Radiology, Society for Vascular Surgery, and the Eastern Vascular Society. Moreover, he attained fellowship of the American College of Surgeons having met the standards and guidelines required of the nation’s leading surgeons. In addition to his medical degree, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree acquired at Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut (1978). As a result of his outstanding performance in the field of vascular surgery, The International Association of HealthCare Professionals (IAHCP) has selected Ralph Clement Darling III, MD, FACS, to be featured in the premier publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. He feels that his success is attributable primarily to good support from his partners, hard work, and dedication and dedicates his spare time to his family, sports, sailing, tennis, skiing and coaching youth basketball and baseball.
